METAL MAYHEM MUSIC
A New Direction for Metal Fans Worldwide

Ryan Northrop of Metal Mayhem is relentless when it comes to his passion. The president of one of the hottest new labels to feature both current signings and re-issue back catalogues is setting a standard, par-in-excellence, to many major record companies. Sticking to the grueling schedule of four to five new releases a quarter, the one–man army is taking the metal market by storm. In our recent phone conversation Mr. Northrop caught us up on his current fall line up. “We just released St. James Americanman the new band from former Black 'n Blue vocalist, Jamie St. James. It came out killer and is a must for fans! Also there is the second album from Shanghai titled Bombs Away. They return bringing a perfect mix of melodic vocals with hard driving rock ‘n roll. A tremendous batch of catchy songs and excellent ballads. Then there’s Dr. Sin’s Shadows Of Light a brand new release from the Brazilian metal masters. We also have several re-issues on slate including Adam Bomb’s Fatal Attraction and the much sought after first two Virgin Steel records.”

Last summer Metal Mayhem (MM) worked with famed rock producer Carl Canedy on Rhett Forrester’s "Gone With The Wind". In 1984 it was the first solo effort by the former Riot vocalists and featured guitar work by Paul Kayen. The remastered CD is released with an amazing booklet, updated artwork, photos and extensive liner notes. Check out Boys Wanna Fight and Cranky Boy to remind you of the real “garage” sound. This is a fantastic showpiece and a must purchase!

Ron Keel, of the infamous Gene Simmons produced band Keel, returns to arena rock after his hiatus as country singer Ronnie Lee Keel. Iron Horse is a hard rockin’, southern-drenched compilation played with feeling, attitude and style. This collection of songs sees the band closing the gaps between heavy metal, rock and country music. The talent on the disc is unmistakable with prominent guitar parts, strong melodies and the unmistakable voice of Mr. Keel. Run through Redneck Rock N Roll, Run For The Border, Signs Of Life, and Let's Ride for a health dose of what Ronnie’s got cookin’

Jeff Northrup first came to prominence as the guitarist for King Kobra and later teamed with Rough Cutt vocalist Paul Shortino on the Back On Track CD. Here he is paired with Johnny Edwards, former vocalist of Foreigner, King Kobra, and Montrose to deliver the performance of both their careers. The vocals soar with riveting passion, the guitars rip, smoke and scream, and the overall sound requires the need for more volume. Sure to be crowd favorites are She’s Waiting, The Kid Is Back In Town, Sheila and the sassy Candy Apple Red.

Seventh Force hail from Washington state. Resurrection is the group’s debut. Right out of the box the disc bears a striking resemblance to ‘80s melodic metal like Dokken, Stryper, and Scorpions. It is s a very impressive debut full of catchy anthems and wonderful guitar licks.

White Widow’s Bustin’ Out is record number two for the Wisconsin-based quintet. A band loaded with big hooks, harmonies, slick guitars, and a strong melodic voice make this a big-hair bonanza to rock the most rabid of fans.
